Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga is the branch of yoga that typically comes to mind when you think of yoga in general terms. The practice involves breath, body, and mind, and classes are usually 45 minutes to 90 minutes of breathing, yoga poses, and meditation.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa is a style of yoga characterized by stringing postures together so that you move from one to another, seamlessly, using breath.  Commonly referred to as “flow” yoga, it is sometimes confused with “power yoga“.

Kundalini Yoga

Kundalini yoga is a form of yoga that involves chanting, singing, breathing exercises, and repetitive poses. Its purpose is to activate your Kundalini energy, or shakti. This is a spiritual energy that’s said to be located at the base of your spine.

Intuitive Yoga

In yoga, intuition could be thought of as receiving knowledge from outside of the self’s ability to reason and process information through intellect, such as receiving a gift of true thought or knowledge from the soul or heart.

Aroma Yoga

Aroma Yoga is an inspiring way to start the day by using fragrances that complement yoga moves. Simply put it means burning an essential oil or a blend of essential oils while practicing yoga.

Slow Yoga

A slow yoga practice, with each pose held for a couple of minutes. When we slow down, we have the time we need to refine and fully experience each pose. It is less of a cardiovascular workout than a fast, flowing one, but it may help us build strength.

I went to Soham Yoga Retreat with my 2 teenagers. I was hesitant to take them and turned out to be a life-changing experience. I recommend this retreat to whomever feels needs some time off and for themselves. It is a disconnect to re-connect with yourself and what matters.

Soham Yoga’s (Yani) 2022 retreat was such a fun , informative, intriguing, eye opening experience! The Kashi Ashram location was an amazing place to have it ! Some of my favorite memories will be the outside yoga , on the deck in the middle of the lake with nature all around and at the laberinth with some poses looking up at a beautiful blue sky ! And the Bridge memorial which touched my heart! And there’s so many more! The breathing, chanting , meditation and all the other workshops were amazing! You can’t help but form a bond with these amazing hearts and souls ! These people who were once strangers, that became friends are now family ! Yani has that special gift of bringing the love out in everyone ! Looking forward to the next one ! Namaste ! 🙏🙏🙏

I have been going to Soham Yoga now for 3 weeks . What an amazing environment. Since I started I have been welcomed and greeted with such kindness and warmth. I am completely new to Yoga and I have received all the help and care I am needing to improve my practice. What really resonated with me was the reassurance that if i was unable to do something it was ok and to just listen to my body. I have taken each class of the variety of classes offered at Soham and each is equally as fulfilling and rewarding. The instructors are in a class of thier own. Invested in making sure you get the most out of each and every class personal to what you are looking to receive from it. The space itself is fantastic! Clean, modern, and ambient. Instrumentation and aroma therapy is also used to escalte the experience. Classes are easily booked using the website and the schedule makes it so easy to pre-plan your classes in advance. They really have thought about everything to make your experience special. I am so blessed to have found this amazing community. Highly Recommend.
